derrick_pickett_final_picHaving bad credit can make life difficult, especially for single women. That’s why Georgia author Derrick Pickett authored “The Credit game – how to play and win: A guide to credit restoration for single women.”

“Your credit rating will determine how much you can do in some many places. Bad credit will hold you back. Good credit will push you forward,” Mr. Pickett said. “I have helped a lot of people rebuild their credit so they can lead the life they want to have.”

The book takes a step-by-step approach to the entire credit process, starting with an explanation of what a credit rating is. Mr. Pickett explains in simple language terms like, “credit risk,” “credit history,” “credit score” and “credit report.”

“My book explains everything you need to know. I take complicated industry terms and put them in plain English,” he said. “The book tells you how your credit rating is determined. That’s really a key part of the book. Once you know what goes into your credit report and score, then you know what to work on.”

Among the tips offered is how to maintain a good credit score.

He writes, “Once you have established good credit, other banks and institutions might send you better offers for credit options that might sound appealing. The key is to STAY LOYAL. Every bank is going to check whether you have a background of jumping ship as soon as a better option comes forward. Staying loyal to your credit provider can prove better for you in the long run. “
